• Chicago’s Pullman Park district will be designated a national monument next week by President Obama. The area was the birthplace of the nation’s first African American union, the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porter. The president will travel to Chicago next Thursday to make the designation in person. • Jesse Matthew will be charged with first degree murder of Hannah Graham after the body of 18-year-old UVA student’s body was found a month after she’d been missing. Matthew, 33, was previously charged with abduction with intent to defile in connection with Graham’s killing. [NBC NEWS]
WORLD NEWS
• If Greece fails to reach a new debt agreement with the eurozone, it may turn to the US, Russia or China, should their proposals get rejected. EU officials have so far rejected Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras efforts to renegotiate bailout terms. Greece is preparing to plead its case for a new deal at a meeting of eurozone finance ministers on Wednesday. [BBC]

• San Antonio Spurs’ head coach Greg Popovich secured his 1,000 win as head coach, all with the same team, as they routed Indiana Pacers 95-93. He is the ninth member of the NBA’s 1,000-win club. Only two coaches, Phil Jackson and Pat Riley, had reached 1,000 wins faster than Popovich. [MIAMI HERALD]

• Canon Inc is launching tender offer to buy network video surveillance leader, Axis for a reported $2.83 billion. This would be the the biggest purchase ever for the Japanese firm trying to expand beyond a shrinking camera market; they already sell surveillance cameras and see the sector as a growing market. • The daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina Brown who has been in a medically induced coma since Feb. 2, may be taken off life support and family will let her die on same date as her mothers death. The family asked the public for prayers during a public vigil that was held Feb. 9 at the Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center in Riverdale, Georgia.
