Though CEO Martin Winterkorn issued an apology Sunday, analysts are predicting a massive fine, in the billions, lays ahead of this scandal that involved VW installing technology in its diesel powered Audi & VW US cars since 2009 so they would falsely pass emissions exams. Sales of the models involved have been stopped. CEO Winkerton might be out of a job soon as his contract renewal is up for vote Friday. [BLOOMBERG]
