Ivanka. In her first interview since becoming special assistant to the president, first daughter Ivanka Trump told CBS’ Gayle King “I don’t know what it means to be complicit, but I hope time will prove I have done a good job and that my father’s Administration is the success I know it will be.” The petty penny behind Merriam Webster’s twitter account decided to help her out by stating the definition of the word complicit….Read more

• The death toll from the gas attack in Syria is still growing, rising so far to 72 and now Russia, an ally of Syria, is blaming it on rebel forces. • The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago, in a 8-to-3 decision Tuesday, ruled that companies cannot discriminate against LGBT employees in the workplace because of their sexual orientation. ENTERTAINMENT
• Rapper Rick Ross is celebrating this time nothing to do with album sales. Though he was facing a litany of felony charges, Ross pled no contest to 1 felony count of aggravated assault and was sentenced to time served in jail and a $10,000 which means the felony will be erased from his record once the fine is paid. He is still under 60 months probation though. This all stemmed from allegedly holding (kidnapping) his groundskeeper, who threw a party on his property, at gunpoint and pistol-whipping him.
• Pepsi. The company is getting dragged online for the recently released commercial featuring Kendall Jenner and here’s why. The ad shows Jenner leaving a photoshoot to join a protest in progress then handing a can of Pepsi to a police officer, you know to make it all better. This was one of those good idea, maybe during the planning phase but perhaps no one with knowledge of the recent rash of protests in the meeting to say no. Some are calling it an insult to the growing Black Lives Matter movement especially since Jenner never voiced support or opinion at the height of these protests. The Coca Cola ad team are probably having a field day.
