• When you are the head of the Transportation Security Administration and your TSA agents fail to detect Homeland Security agents posing as passengers strapped with weapons in 67 out of 70 tests with a 95% failure rate, you’ve got some ‘splaining to do. Melvin Carraway who became acting TSA administrator in January has been immediately reassigned to DHS Office of State and Local Law Enforcement while Acting Deputy Director Mark Hatfield will lead the TSA in the interim. • Hundreds (more than 400) are feared dead after a ferry carrying over 400 people got caught in a cyclone and capsized on the Yangtze River. About a dozen people have been rescued from the four deck ship that had on board many elderly Chinese tourists. [REUTERS]

• Fred Hoiberg, previously coach at Iowa State, will reportedly be named the new head coach of the Chicago Bulls in an announcement expected today. Hoiberg played for the Bulls from 1999-2003. Apparently Bulls just weren’t that into coach Thibs like that, and just couldn’t play along anymore. [USA TODAY]

• Padmasree Warrior as CFO of Cisco is one of the most recognized faces and Silicon Valley’s highest-profile female executives, is leaving Cisco. New Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins, recently announced the departures of top level executives Gary Moore, president and chief operating officer and Rob Lloyd, president of development and sales on his blog. • If you don’t know who Caitlyn Jenner is by now, you were not part of the 1m Twitter followers that followed her yesterday. Shortly after we all settled into our morning routine, she made her twitter debut as Vanity Fair released the cover of their July issue and at once revealed the “She” Bruce Jenner alluded to in his interview with Diane Sawyer. Beyond the glamorous cover photoshoot photographed by Annie Liebowitz, writer Buzz Bissinger got unprecedented access to her during the final stages of her “emotionally arduous, transition from male to female” and family life especially with controlling Kris. • Last night in NYC, the CFDA Awards honored “extraordinary design excellence in: womenswear, menswear, accessories, as well as accomplishments in journalism, creative vision, and lifetime achievement.” Some of the winners included Tom Ford(Menswear Designer of the Year), Rosie Assoulin(Swarovski Award for Womenswear), Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row (Womenswear Designer of the Year), Shayne Oliver for Hood by Air (Swarovski Award for Menswear).
