• Sorry NYC but Chicago’s got this for another few years. The James Beard awards that is. The foodie Oscars, originally slated to be in Chicago until 2017, signed a four-year extension to host the James Beard Awards through 2021, reports the Chicago Tribune.
• Access Living of Metropolitan Chicago is suing Uber saying the ride-hailing service is “unusable” for people who use motorized wheelchairs. Though Uber offers a service called UberWAV, customers who signed on to the suit said the cars are rarely available, according to report from DNAinfo. .
• Bollingbrook HQed Ulta Beauty is raising earnings and sales forecasts. According to reports, Ulta projects comparable sales — a measure of sales online and at stores open more than a year — to rise a whopping 12-14% for the full year. Executives said they will be doubling down on their efforts to court “beauty enthusiasts. Let’s hope they some of that means better customer service. Their major competitor Sephora has been making moves in courting a wider net customer.
