BRIT vs EGYPT
British officials plan to evacuate thousands of British tourists stranded in the Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh has been been suspended by the Egyptian authorities according to EasyJet officials. With about 20,000 British tourists in the area, many had waited in long security lines to board their flights only to receive text messages that their returns to the U.K. had been placed on hold. Last weekend a Russian jet exploded mid-air and then crashed into the desert in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people on board. Britain announced that it would suspend all flights in and out of Sharm el-Sheikh due to concerns about security at the airport and speculation that a bomb planted by Islamic State militants may have caused the Russian passenger jet to crash.

The mobile payments company is seeking to raise up to $403.7 million in initial stock sale in an initial public offering with about 27 million shares will be sold at $11 to $13 each; Square will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker symbol “SQ.” Square was founded and led by Twitter Inc. CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey, this may get interesting as Dorsey currently has about a quarter of Square’s stock and will have a 22% equity stake after the IPO. [WSJ]
