• After a 400% price surge, some members of congress are pressing Mylan, the pharmaceutical company behind the EpiPen, over the pricing increase of the lifesaving injection device for people with severe allergies.

• Unharmed deaf man in Charlotte, North Carolina, 29-year-old Daniel Harris, was shot and killed by a state trooper last week and outrage is growing over it. He appeared to be trying to communicate with the officer via sign language. The state trooper who shot Harris is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

• Magazine musical chairs once again. Laura Brown who recently served at Hearst as Harper’s Bazaar’s executive editor has been named editor in chief of Time Inc.’s InStyle. Seventeen magazine’s editor in chief, Michelle Tan, was notified that she would no longer be needed at Seventeen while on maternity leave. Time Inc. has also parted ways with Real Simple editor in chief Kristin van Ogtrop; her last day at Real Simple will be Sept. 2.

•  The new boxing movie “Hands of Stone” starring Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramirez, Usher Raymond, Ellen Barkin about former Panamanian professional boxer Roberto Durán’s historic fight against Sugar Ray Leonard, held its NYC premiere last night. Joining some of the cast in attendance were Beyonce & Jay Z, Priyanka Chopra, Harvey Weinstein.

 It was revealed yesterday that DMX became a dad, again. He welcomed his 15th child, Exodus Simmons, with girlfriend Desiree Lindstrom. He served six months in prison in 2015 for delinquency on $400,000 of child support. X gon’ give it to ya!
