President Trump, at a rally in Alabama Friday said this, “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out, he’s fired. He’s fired'” talking about players that took a knee following Colin Kapernick who was protesting brutality against African Americans. The following day, after Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry said he would not be attending the White House in a piece that Fox and Friends reported on the president took to twitter to say “Stephen Curry is hesitating,therefore invitation is withdrawn!” which set off a flurry of debates, defense statements, kneelings and hand locking Sunday. Roger Goddell, NFLPA, NFL owners all released statements supporting player’s rights to peaceful protests. Sunday the athletes either all kneeled or locked arms with the Pittsburh Steelers opting to stay in the locker room during the national anthem except for Allejandro Villanueva. • In Chicago news: After one season, it looks like its adios for Dwayne Wade with the Chicago Bulls. Espn reports that the veteran basketball player has reached a buyout agreement and he’s agreed to leave about $8 million of his $23.8 million salary on the table; Cleveland, OKC and Miami might be interested in signing him. The same episode premiered Oprah Winfrey’s first piece as special contributing correspondent. | German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been re-elected for a fourth term though her conservative CDU/CSU bloc alliance, saw its worst result in almost 70 years.

• Jeremy Meeks’ relationship with Topshop heiress Chloe Green is heating up. In a series of Instagram posts, both shared their deep affection for each other with Green calling Meeks her #1 and Meeks writing “When you find the one….You know.” Meeks, known as hot felon bae, was married at the time his relationship with Green went public.
• The Kardshian family sat down with executive producer Ryan Seacrest for a 90-minute 10th anniversary special. Khloe talks about her reaction when she found out about Lamar Odom, whom they initially thought had died. Kim talks about her pregnancy and when she fell in love with Kanye West. Kylie talked about Caitlyn’s transition being one of the hardest things to deal with on camera and more.

• Over the weekend, the fashion flock left London for Milan. Donatella Versace honoring her late brother Gianni, brought back the OG supers to close out the show. Fendi, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Vionnet, Salvatore Ferragamo, MSGM closed out the weekend long Spring/Summer ’18 presentations. It’s now off to Paris. In other fashion related news, Unilever is buying beauty brand Carver Korea for $2.71 billion. It’s the fastest-growing skincare business in South Korea, through sales of its A.H.C brand. The inaugural Green Carpet Fashion Awards was held Saturday in Milan.
