They say good things come to those who hustle and in the case of landing Amazon’s HQ #2, Chicago is on the hustle. dna info reports, a delegation of state and city officials will leave Tuesday to scout the tech giant’s Seattle headquarters “to help determine which Chicago area sites would best fit the company’s future needs.” Mayor Emanuel is said to be putting on a full court press to make the case for Chicago in a scenario that would involve 50,000 jobs. IL Gov. Bruce Rauner though is straddling his support between Chicago and St. Louis stating Illinois has “a major population center in Metro East. We have major strategic transportation advantages in Metro East around the St. Louis area.”

 
• Toys ‘R’ Us Inc, the largest U.S. toy store chain has filed for bankruptcy protection just as the busy holiday shopping season is about to begin soon. According to Reuters, “the Chapter 11 filing is among the largest ever by a specialty retailer and casts doubt over the future of its about 1,600 stores and 64,000 employees,” though the company received a commitment for over $3 billion in debtor-in-possession financing from lenders. 

 Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was wiretapped by the federal government, under secret court orders before and after the election. This could indicate that the Robert Mueller investigation into the Russia election meddling is heating up. According to the CNN report, a secret order authorized by the court that handles the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) began after Manafort became the subject of an FBI investigation that began in 2014.

ENTERTAINMENT

 Actor and Reese Witherspoon ex Ryan Phillippe is being sued by his ex girlfriend Elsie Hewitt for alleged assault she sustained July 4 and is seeking more than $1 million in damages. In the legal filing, Hewitt alleges Phillippe uses a variety of drugs including cocaine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms and steroids. Speaking of claims, the alleged extortionist in the Kevin Hart scandal may have been uncovered. TMZ is reporting the woman at the center of the sexually explicit video is 27-year-old traveling stripper Montia Sabagg. 
• It was throwback to the 90s legends at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors: The 90s Game Changers that aired Monday night. Mariah Carey performed her hit  Honey with  Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Mase and The Lox; Mariah certainly did not execute the dance moves like she did in the original vid. Missy Elliot linking up with stylist June Ambrose, refreshed her dope outfit to perform “She’s A B!tch.” Trina and Trick Daddy performed “You No Nann.” Asahd Khaled attended with dad DJ Khaled and more.

• Today is the last day for Spring/Summer ’18 collection presentation during London Fashion Week and Tommy Hilfiger will close out the half week full of shows. Monday highlights included Julien McDonald, Roksanda, Emilia Wickstead, Marques’ Almeida, Sophia Webster and Ashish? In other fashion news, fashion brand GANT is sponsoring “Couple Thinkers” a six episode-long non-scripted show starring former late, late show host Craig Ferguson and his wife Megan Ferguson. Lastly, Selena Gomez is collaborating with Puma in a deal worth $30 million for 2 years. Her boyfriend, The Weeknd is also a Puma collaborated. This comes a week after Reebok announced its partnership with Ariana Grande.
