Hilary Duff is Engaged! Boyfriend Matthew Koma Proposes
- Actress Hilary Duff and singer/songwriter Matthew Koma are now engaged after a three-year relationship.
Disney icon Hilary Duff is engaged and we couldn’t be happier for one of our most unproblematic TV stars who rose to fame as Lizzie McGuire. The Younger star and her now-fiancé, singer/songwriter Matthew Koma both shared on their Instagram accounts that he proposed and she said YES while in New York together. The two share a six-month old daughter, Banks, along with Duff’s seven-year old son, Luca, from her previous marriage. While there are no details yet of when the proposal actually happened (we think it happened a few days ago based on Chris Mintz Plasse’s comment on the photo “I already knew about this a couple days ago so I’m not gonna comment “congrats” or anything”)
or if they’ve set a wedding date, Koma wrote on his IG “I asked my best friend to marry me…,” tagging Duff. She wrote: “He asked me to be his wife♥️.”
The pair began dating in late 2016, making their red carpet debut in January, 2017. After a breakup in March of that year, the two decided to give it another try that Fall. The following June, the two announced Duff’s pregnancy, and nearly eight months following Banks Violet Blair’s birth, the two are engaged. Congrats to the happy couple and best wishes in the planning process!
