From Atelier AZZA to AZEEZA

One of our favorite Chicago labels is growing and changing clothes, so to speak.  Atelier Azza, founded by Azeeza Khan will now be known as AZEEZA!!!!

Atelier Azza first launched  in 2012 and has since gained recognition not just in Chicago but internationally.  Starting, well now, Atelier Azza will now be known as AZEEZA taking on the fab founders name.  The Fall/Winter ’14 line will debut as the first collection under the new name Azeeza.

The name change comes as a natural evolution of the brand and reflection of the designer’s personal aesthetic and minimalist edge.

Azeeza’s Fall 2014 collection draws inspiration from the Impressionism era. It was envisioned while the designer worked closely with the Art Institute of Chicago on a collaboration of the Impressionism, Fashion & Modernity exhibit. AZEEZA’s FW ’14 line was inspired by the work of French painter and illustrator, James Tissot as well as others included in the exhibition.
The FW14 collection also includes tailored pieces, for the first time, without embellishment. However, embellishment remains important to the values of the brand, and will not entirely go away. It will instead be offered in a more refined manner appearing on specialty items, accessories, and evening-wear creating a space to focus on pattern through feminine silhouettes.
In 2014 a second Azeeza flagship will open located in New York City and will for the first time become available at select luxury retailers. Chicago, the hometown of the designer, remains the heart of operations.
