In it’s first ever collaboration with an American artist, Topman’s Curtis Kulig’s collection attempts to revive lost styles by tapping into his personal style icons such as Albert Einstein and Woody Allen’s affinity for cardigans and corduroys. He also pulled inspiration from artist Pablo Picasso, Joseph Beuys and fashion and portrait photographer Richard Avedon. Kulig’s artistic style is so influential in his collection as it isn’t over the top but enough to make the consumer feel comfortable yet, still look great. He brings a corduroy blazer to pair perfectly with a pair of forest green Chino’s.  He holds true to his American West background by presenting the fur trapper and denim workers jacket in this collection, which offers the nostalgia of western explorers of past. The 24 piece collection, which Kulig was involved in every step of the design process from choosing the fabrics to creating original patterns and pulling imagery from his fine art and archives, is timeless.

The lookbook for the collection was shot by photographer Michael Avedon and it captures a day in the life of an artistic gentleman in New York City; Starting with coffee at the Viand café, wandering through Central Park and ending the day at the Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle hotel.
