Saturday (Nov. 5) edition of Saturday Night Live had some extra special Chicago dosage to it and it was amazing!!! First the 2016 World Series Champions Anthony Rizzo, Dexter Fowler and David Ross appeared in a sketch giving Aidy Bryant’s “Grandma” character a lap dance and twerk. “A grandmother (Aidy Bryant) doesn’t take well to her surprise bachelorette party, complete with strippers (Benedict Cumberbatch, Mikey Day, Anthony Rizzo, David Ross, Dexter Fowler).”

Then a segment on “Weekend Update” featured Rizzo, Ross, Fowler and Bill Murray singing the Chicago Cubs anthem, Go Cubs Go on “Weekend Update the Voice”. The extra special dose of Chicago came in the form of Solange’s performance of her critically acclaimed ‘Cranes in the Sky’ the first performance of the night featured Solange in an intricate headpiece created by Chicago artist Shani Crowe (H/T Aramide). Crowe’s Braids exhibition which debuted earlier this year was featured on Solange’s Saint Heron website and one of the pieces in the exhibit was re-created for her performance.
