Last Thursday April 10, more than 700 guests lavished in early shopping privileges, sampled organic wines from Bonterra Organic Vineyards and exquisite food at the Preview Evening for the 14th Antiques & Garden Fair at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glenview. Co-produced by Jane O’Neil of Lake Bluff, Susan Canmann,Peggy Swartchild and Cathy Busch of Winnetka and Jen Kasten of Chicago.

The fundraiser raised $225,000 for the Botanic Garden’s conservation, education and research programs. The high powered, philanthropic donors such as John and Alexandra Nichols of Winnetka, Scout Guide Chicago’s Meredith Wood-Prince, were in attendance.

Rare treasures curated by more than 120 antiques dealers from across the United States and Europe were elegantly displayed.

The event also served as the launch for the 2014 edition of The Scout Guide headed in Chicago by philanthropist Meredith Wood-Prince.

Co-producers of the 2014 Antiques & Garden Fair were Cathy Busch, Susan Canmann, Jen Kasten, Donna LaPietra, Jane O’Neil, and Peggy Swartchild; While HMR Designs Bill Heffernan served as artistic director.

Indoor garden displays were donated by William Heffernan Landscapes, Craig Bergmann Landscape Design, Inc., Schmechtig Landscape Company, the Schwebel Company and Artemisia with Manfredini Landscape and Design.
