On Thursday(April 20) immediately following the book signing at Perchance, I hightailed it over to the West loop(Praire Studio) to meet up with a friend for the Balvenie Rare Craft Experience. The Balvenie is the most handcrafted Single Malt Whisky
During the event, Balvenie Brand Ambassador Nicholas Pollacchi and the Balvenie reps guided guests through a tasting of the Balvenie range of single malt crafted by Malt Master David Stewart(Doublewood aged 12 years, Signature aged 12 yrs, Single Barrel aged 15 years and the Portwood aged 21 yrs) .
The highlight of the evening was an advance screening of Handmade: A Celebration of American Craftsmanship—the much-anticipated documentary of the Rare Craft Roadshow, an epic trans-American road trip in search of craftsmen and artisans who are dedicated to making fine products by hand. Their Chicago connection included clips from their visit with R.S Owens and OXXFORD Clothes.

Later that evening, I headed to Boardroom for the launch of new new urban pop artist Christacy and it was packed! unfortunately my camera battery died and I forgot the spare at home so I couldn’t take any pictures but he was really putting on a show for guests. In between performances Christacy made sure to thank those that helped him on his journey; his single “Body Language” is out on iTunes now make sure you support local talent.
