Several events that have happened that may have skipped your radar.

On September 19, The Founders’ Board of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago invited friends, family and supporters together to celebrate the inaugural Designer Closet pop-up shop at the 900 North Michigan Shops. Katie Donovan and Brette Bensinger co-chaired the event which was an homage to the White Elephant Shop (resale shop on Halsted that closed when Children’s Hospital moved from Lincoln Park), proceeds from the pop-up shop event will go towards the recently announced $5.5 million 3 year commitment the Founder’s Board has pledged to the hospital to be allocated for recruitment and violence prevention.

Guests browsed an array of silent auction items generously donated by Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, LK Bennett, and Lafayette 148 from Bloomingdale’s as well as shopped racks donning gently used, one-of-a-kind, or new, with tags designer merchandise, such as Chanel, Prada, YSL, Tory Burch, Dianne Von Furstenberg, and Vince. The shoe rack overflowed with an assortment of Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, TODS, Jimmy Choo, and Chanel.
