From March 22-24 McCormick Place was filled with established and up-coming beauty professionals as the America’s Beauty Show and the Face & Body Midwest Expo took place.
The days were filled with demonstrations, educational seminars, events and of course vendor booths. Brands such as Aquage, Farouk, Redken, TIGI, Wella were well represented.
The Stylist Choice Awards featured beauty luminaries such as celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves. Morrocan Oil treatment was given the Stylist choice award.

Your favorite hair stylist, esthetician, and beauty enthusiast attended this to gain more knowledge about whats new in terms of industry products and trends. The Face & Body conference included a session “My Journey From Chicago to the White House” featuring JoElle Lee, the first lady’s personal esthetician.

The best part were the vendor booths and their offerings including Orly nails who had a wide selection of polish selections (I bought a few), Essie.

We even spotted Daniel Phu, celeb eyelash extension specialist who was doing a live demonstration. He has patented a technique where he is able to apply multi layer eyelash extensions while keeping them looking natural.
The trend was heavily focused on eyelash extension. I do hope in future sessions, they have more classes and vendor booths on the business side of beauty. It’s great to have product but if you can’t sell or make a business out of it well, you can’t win. Great show and huge turnout.
