5 STOPS FOR FASHION'S NIGHT OUT CHICAGO

Stops 2-5 was all about Chicago Fashion’s Night out for me Thursday night(9/6). The day itself started off on a high note as I had lunch interview with a legendary Chicago Behind the scener(more to come on that). After leaving the Maybelline event I walked over to Saks  Fifth Avenue for their FNO celebration as well as the launch of Suntimes‘ new magazine SPLASH. The place was already in full swing as I arrived spotting some familiar fabulously dressed faces.
As a sidenote my shoe of choice that evening were skyhigh wedges; they provided much needed height with comfort.  Saks  had everything from complimentary makeup applications on the first floor,  a hot dog and mini sliders cart, complimentary cocktails courtesy of Moët and Hendrick’s Gin at The Saks 10022 Shoe salon on 3 to 5 where guests could get their pictures taken by the Suntimes Splash backdrop. Azeeza Khan debuted a rather stunning dress from Atelier AZZA Spring ’13 line. Guests I spotted at Saks mingling with host committee of Lisa Frame, Susanna Negovan, Kimberly Burt,Amanda Puck, Samantha Saifer Berngard, Liza Sweitzer, Kristina McGrath, were Sherrill Bodine,Julie Selakovich,Terry Boyle, Trey Berre and Maria Ponce, Leah Hope, Abby Dunn, Diana Palomar Scott, Eve Rogers, Brad Messigner, Laurie Davis and so many more. I  had a great time but I had to make stop #3 and off to Nieman‘s I went. Thank goodness it was right across the street.
As I approached the store I spotted models in front of Neiman Marcus showing off some fall fashions. Walking through I spied this guest getting her makeup done at the Tom Ford counter. I arrived as the Fashion show hosted by Corri McFadden was about to start and the runway area was packed from one end to the other! I loved the looks I saw that were showcased down the runway but I couldn’t stay for the entire show as stop #4 had to be made. I quickly got in a cab and hightailed it over to Haberdash, again thank goodness it wasn’t too far away.
The mood at Haberdash was chill which was absolutely welcome at that point in the night. Haberdash owners Jerry Kamhi and Adam Beltzman,  along with the Red Wings Heritage and LEVIS® Made & Crafted mingled with guests. As a single gal running around this was probably my favorite stop as the ratio was juuust right! Both stores and EDC below had guests milling about and even had a guest getting a hot shave.

My last stop of the night I headed over to Macy’s on State Street for Nikia Jefferson of Chitown Fashionista fashion presentation but alas I missed all the fun and arrived at the tail end. I was bummed I missed her entire presentation which I heard was ah-maze with an major setup, packed audience and each blogger had the opportunity to explain the looks they picked.

This was definitely one of those nights where I wished I had a clone, as I wanted to support everyone as much as I could but a 2hour window didn’t leave much room for a lot. I hope Fashion’s Night Out was a retail success for the stores that participated I’m sure all the ladies and gents that joined in on the fun had a great time.
