EVENT: DURO OLOWU EXHIBITION @ MCA
ABOUT:  Nigerian-born British designer Duro Olowu is internationally recognized for his womenswear label launched in 2004. Olowu turns his cosmopolitan eye to Chicago. Drawing from the city’s public and private art collections including works in the MCA’s collection, Olowu curates a show that reimagines relationships between artists and objects across time, media, and geography. The exhibition is organized with MCA Manilow Senior Curator Naomi Beckwith and is presented in the Griffin Galleries of Art. There are several events planned around the exhibit including members and circle preview (Feb. 28), opening day appearance by the designer/guest curator (Feb. 29), ASL tour (Mar. 3) and so much more.
