He wore the red jacket in the upcoming movie, The Place Beyond the Pines and it is being auctioned off online to benefit Variety – The Children’s Charity of Southern California. The auction, which starts March 29, will be conducted online by Profiles in History and end Monday, April 8th. Proceeds from the auction will go to help inspire hope, enrich lives and build a better future for children with special needs in Southern California.
The jacket (pictured above on Mr. Gosling in-character in a scene from the film) is a Firstgear red leather motorcycle jacket with snap pockets at the front, black corduroy at the collar, zipper vents at both front and back with black leather in the vent, elastic at both cuffs and bottom, and zips to close, and all you need to know is that Ryan Gosling wore this in a movie maybe even without an undershirt.

The Place Beyond the Pines is the daring new movie from the director of Blue Valentine-a sweeping emotional drama powerfully exploring the unbreakable bond between fathers and sons. The cast includes Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes,Rose Byrne, Mahershala Ali, Dane DeHaan, Emory Cohen, Ben Mendelsohn, and Ray Liotta. The movie opens select cities on Friday, April 5th; and will expand the release to theaters across the country on Friday, April 12th.
