Vernissage, the opening benefit of EXPO Chicago held a kickoff event at the Louis Vuitton store on Michigan Avenue last Thursday (9/12). The event which is a pre cursor to the beginning of EXPO Chicago is hosted by the The Board of Trustees and Women’s Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Madeleine Grynsztejn-Pritzker Director of the Museum of Contemporary and Tony Karman-EXPO Chicago President were on hand to thank guests and get everyone excited for the upcoming art fair. Other guests in attendance included MCA Trustee Chair King Harris, Vice Chair Anne Kaplan,Vernissage Co-chairs-Sally Meyers Kovler and Cheryl Seder, Naomi Mori Reese, Rusty Reese, Lono Brazil,Sheryl Perlman, Linda Meyer, Marcia Fraerman, GRAFF jeweler’s Eve Rogers and many more.
The event was also a milestone as Louis Vuitton is celebrating their 120 years in Chicago starting with the World’s Fair as well their continued support of the arts and EXPO Chicago.
Vernissage offers the opportunity to preview the artwork presented by 120 leading national and international galleries, accompanied by celebratory food and drink-hello Ruinart! Proceeds from Vernissage will support education, exhibition, and performance programs at the MCA.
