Dinner and dancing took on a new meaning at the River North Dance Chicago fall engagement opening gala. Even before touching their salads, guests were urged by the tunes of the Michael Lerich Orchestra to get on the dance floor and dance, and dance and dance into the night to many classics and top 40 hits. This gala was a culmunation of a night that began at the Harris Theater where the dance company celebrated the opening of their 24th season and presented PASSSIONS-its a MUST SEE!
Prior to being seated for dinner at the grand ballroom of the Fairmont Chicago, guests perused the different auction items during the cocktail reception.
Guests in attendance included former ‘Best Dressed on the Scene’ Marcus Boggs of Merrill Lynch & Co., Theodore Venable-Marketing Manager for the Argo Tea company, Sugar Hills bakery owner Jacob Neminarz, Dr. Linda O’Bannon, Monika Dixon.

The entire evening was a lively affair evidenced when board members Gary Metzner before beginning the game of heads and tails cracked a joke that you had to be there to get. The last lady standing after heads & tails (heads was final winner) walked away with $1000. A great night to celebrate the beginning of a new season and culture in Chicago.

The 3 course dinner culminated with this yummy desert. After dinner, guests continued to dance the night away
