Chicago’s River North Dance Chicago celebrated their 25th Silver Anniversary Gala, Wednesday October 8, 2014 by debuting both a World and US premiere piece – Frank Chaves’s “In the End,” Spanish Choreographer Iván Pérez’s “Flesh.”
The event which welcomed about 600 guests, chaired by Dr. Geoffrey and Monika Dixon and Franco La Marca, raised $354,000 that will help continue RNDC’s education, community and artistic programming.
RNDC Board Chairman Marcus Boggs, of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, RNDC Artistic Director Frank Chaves and guests began the night with a performance at Harris Theater followed by a reception and three-course dinner at Hilton Chicago’s grand ballroom. The night ended with guests making their way to the dance floor to keep the celebration going.
