The Chicago Public Library’s Junior Board comprised of the city’s next generation philanthropic leaders in the making, come together and support the free and open access to knowledge and the mission that all Chicagoans have the freedom to read, to learn and to discover at the Chicago Public Library.
They are a fairly newer board in the junior/associate board landscape but we have no doubt they will grow in size and fundraising to help to continue to support the library’s mission.

Their event “Night In The Stacks” taking place Friday April 4 (7-11) will, for one night only, throw all the library rules out the window. The Harold Washington Library’s 9th floor winter garden will be transformed to a lounge where local authors such as Charles Blackstone, author of Vintage Attraction,Wesley Chu, author of The Lives of Tao and hip librarians will mingle with guests among the book stacks and under the stars; throw in an open bar and DJ Edwin Konsept and what a night. How cool is that? We’ll definitely be on the scene, hope to see you there. CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS SOLD OUT
Which corporations are supporting them? BMO Harris, Sidley Austin Foundation, U.S. Equities Realty/Susan & Robert Wislow Charitable Trust, Latham & Watkins and Jones Day.
Membership: Junior Board member candidates are considered once a year and candidates are drawn from the Junior Board Society membership. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Kristyn Dimitroff, Vice Chair of Membership at membership@cplfoundation.org.
