It’s fitting that the theme of this month’s letter is CONSISTENCY. Amid the chaos of trying to build/grow a startup, meetings, brainstorming ideas, the one thing that’s sometimes lost in the shuffle is consistency. After recently having lunch with a friend it dawned on me that I wasn’t doing a good job of being consistent on the site. Whether you have a great or just good product/idea/thing, being consistent with it, is the key to longevity. As SociaLifeChicago begins to grow and add more key members to our team the goal is to consistently bring you more. More event coverage, more fashion stories, more lifestyle topics, more ‘Behind the Scene’ interviews, more pictures and doing that on a more consistent basis and schedule.
Although it seems most of my world revolves around SLC right now, I need to remind myself to be consistent in my personal life. Taking time to check in with family, friends and advisers. If anyone ever said or imagined entrepreneurship to be easy, it’s not. It consumes your life especially in its infancy phase but it’s also thrilling. You learn so much. Is it worth it? I couldn’t tell you I’m still writing my own journey. I am excited to complete the Chicago 10k Aug 11 after weeks of consistent(kinda) training. Team SLC is growing and and in order to grow according to the vision, this editor-entrepreneur needs to step up her game. We truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to more fun ahead.
What do you wish you could do more of on a consistent basis?
