Lady Starlight, multi-talented classic rock and metal DJ/Performer, inspirational style icon known for her eclectic style, writer, and famously known as Lady Gaga’s DJ, will be in Chicago February 13/14 during the “Born This Way Ball” concert tour stop as Lady Gaga’s opening act and she will headline what she promises to be a rock and roll experience at Berlin Nightclub, February 14. We had a chance to talk to Lady Starlight, who by the way is just mad cool. When asked what to expect from her show at Berlin, “lots of Rock and Roll, cabaret heavy metal and an interactive DJ experience with the audience” where she’s been incorporating karaoke elements into her set so she just might do that on Thursday.
Lady Starlight noted that from initially meeting Lady Gaga, they hit it off right away and have been collaborating since. She was the DJ for her first world tour “Monster Ball” and now that they are on their second world tour together we asked how this one is different. She stated “Born this Way Ball” has been exponentially better, though Monster Ball was amazing, she’s made performance progress and now doing the show of her dreams. Not too many people get to say that and she is aware and grateful of the fact that she can.
This isn’t her first time at Berlin Nightclub, she enjoys the originality of the club and it’s staff and no matter how grand her career is she will always play there. Making THE scene to Lady Starlight is all about “taking the opportunity, getting excited and expressing yourself with fashion.” Though she hadn’t pciked out her Berlin performance outfit at the time of our conversation we can’t wait to see whe she wears, perhaps a wedding dress-fitting since it will be Valentine’s Day.
She inquired about any cool vintage shops in Chicago and I recommended Kokorokoko and Una Mae’s on Milwaukee if you think you have better suggestion tweet her @LadyStarlightNY
