Seriously, now what?! After a crushing defeat last night, Ted Cruz failed to hold up his end of his and John Kasich’s pact to #stopTrump and has now suspended his campaign “with heavy heart” while unintentionally elbowing his wife Heidi (who was the lady crying on stage?). Donald Trump is now being called the defacto GOP nominee because to him, Kasich being in the race doesn’t really count. On the democratic side, Hillary “felt the Bern” as Bernie Sanders came out on top 52% to her 47% yesterday in Indiana. So now what? Man, the prospect of a Trump candidacy doesn’t sound really appealing to some and neither does a Clinton or Sanders candidacy either, so really what we ought to do is recruit/trade for Justin Trudeau. Republican elected officials and party leaders will have to say, definitively and soon, whether they plan to support Mr. Trump in the general election. Read more

• They just couldn’t make it work and just like that the George Lucas funded Lucas museum that was hoping to make a home in Chicago is now “seriously pursuing locations outside of Chicago.” Power couple in most regards, Mellody Hobson and George Lucas who has now called Chicago home, were hoping to have his museum by the lakeforent but the Friends of the Parks fought tooth, nail and hammer to keep it from happening and yesterday Hobson’s in her statement which perhaps voiced her displeasure said “this process has been co-opted and hijacked by a small special interest group.”
• Apple has lost it’s trademark on leather goods for iPhone in China. The Beijing Municipal High People’s Court said Xintong Tiandi can continue to use the phrase “iPhone” on its leather goods. Xintong Tiandi created its trademark for leather goods in 2007, the first year Apple’s iPhone went on sale.
• A wildfire raging through the Canadian city of Fort McMurray has forced evacuation of its 80,000 residents. The fire in the heart of Canada’s oil sands region broke out southwest of the city on Sunday, shifting aggressively with the wind to breach city limits on Tuesday.

• A famous actor, who is also married and known as a “family man” is set to be named, allegedly, by US media that he slept with a British prostitute. His lawyers obtained a British injunction gag order in 2011, but the cheating A-list celebrity will reportedly be outed today. Any guess as to who it is?

• Yesterday we noted Gucci’s Alessandro Michele was creating a capsule collection exclusively sold on Net-a-Porter, now Carolina Herrera and her namesake brand revealed she’s launching a limited-edition capsule collection on luxury e-tailer MyTheresa.com. The collection, which will launch May 10 on the site, is inspired by her first ever collection in 1981 and range from $250 to $3,700.
