Washington Post/ABC News poll. Following the tragedy at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, the media organizations surveyed a random sample of 808 adults reached via cellphone or landline between February 15-18. The results show that 62% believe president Trump is not doing enough to prevent mass shootings and 77% say Congress is doing an inadequate job on the issue as well. Among those polled, 57% said mass shootings in the United States were more of a reflection of problems identifying and treating people with mental health problems, while 28% blamed “inadequate gun laws.”….Read more
