Changes in Background Checks for Guns? According to White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah, President Trump is open to changing background checks for guns, law. In the statement, which said that Trump spoke with Sen. John Cornyn, a Republican(TX), on Friday about a bill he introduced with Sen. Chris Murphy, a Democrat(CT), that aims to strengthen how state and federal governments report offenses that could prohibit people from buying a gun. This after tweets from Trump came off as victim blaming and also blaming the FBI for not acting on tips received. • Black Panther was simply WHOA! The The Disney-Marvel movie, which centers around the first black superhero, was already breaking records before its opening night Thursday and it’s weekend box office haul was as impressive as the film itself. Black Panther, which features a predominantly black cast was helmed by an African American director, Ryan Cooler who is only 31 years old. According to comScore, global ticket sales by Monday will total an estimated $387 million. According to the NYTimes, analysts had expected “Black Panther” to arrive to about $165 million in North American ticket sales; they must have underestimated the buying power of a large black audience that went to see the movie, multiple times.

• Last week fashion e-commerce platform Farfetch announced its partnership with Burberry and now another heritage luxury fashion brand is linking up with Farfetch.
