Well after months of speculation, corner rumors and hard core courting from Kanye West, the powers that be has finally put him AND Kim Kardashian on the cover. The revered fashion mag seems to be pandering more and more to pop culture rather then being the arbiter of what’s cool as it was once known for.
Truth be told, saw this was coming but not sure how they fit into the vogue culture. Kim designs for less than stellar retailers like Sears, Kanye though musically respected hasn’t fared too well on the fashion front, Donda much? A publication such as Vogue, known as the validation point for supermodels, athlethes and artists basically just co-signed Kim Kardashian who has gone from sex tape subject to vogue.
I will be curious to see how or if subscription to Vogue magazine dips or increases and how advertisers react. It is definitely a new age we live and. Maybe this is an elaborate April Fools joke by Anna Wintour and the real cover features someone that’s well, NOT Kim Kardashian. sigh.
