When Gallery Aesthete, the fashion store + art gallery, announced they were closing their Oak Street Gold Coast location last year, we lamented over where the cool/edgy crowd in Chicago would pick up their Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester, Boris Bidjan, Comme des Garçons wares from.

Fast forward a to summer ’16 and owner Stephen Naparstek debuted the store’s newest location at 1751 W. Division Street in Wicker Park; his previous store Bonnie & Clyde was also in Wicker. The store, designed by Lukas Machnik, will carry menswear brands such as Comme des Garçons Homme Plus, Rick Owen’s DRKSHDW, Lost & Found Ria Dunn Homme Plissé Issey Miyake AND women’s selections from brands including Barbara I Gongini, Rick Owen’s Lilies, Shaun Leane and soon to come Craig Green. Check out pictures below of Gallery Aesthete’s opening night event held August 18.
The mission of Gallery Aesthete is to illuminate the relationship between fashion, art, and object, purveying each for the refinement of their client’s personal collections. It is with this intention that each item featured within the gallery has been carefully curated with regard to synthesis and precision.
