Last night, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Overture Council hosted their first fundraising event of 2015 with Night At The Movies: An Offer You can’t refuse.

This event coincided with the upcoming Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece “The Godfather” on February 3 where the orchestra, led by conductor Justin Freer, will play Nino Rota’s score from the movie.

CSO Overture Council President Dan Luby along with some of their committee members were on hand to greet supporters and friends in attendance.

Guests were encouraged to dress in their favorite cocktail or Godfather inspired outfits and that they did. They mingled, sipped on specialty cocktails and libations from the open bar, and purchased raffle tickets where the proceeds would benefit the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, one of the nation’s premier training programs for emerging professional musicians.

The CSO Overture Council is the next generation auxiliary organization for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra with over 100 young professionals share a love of music and a mission to support the CSO.
