Who fashionably made the scene this week? As most black tie gala goes, the gentlemen are decked out in tuxedos while the ladies opt for long ball gowns. Since this event was for the Joffrey ballet, some of the guests whose outfits caught our eye went a bit against the grain and we loved it! From the origami like construction and color as seen on Laura Kofoid, or Pamela Rolland ball gown with train and pockets on Kathleen Henson to George Sargent’s dusty blue tux jacket, they all showed a variety of styles. Jerri Hoffmann shunning the ball gown for a 2 piece with pleated pants; Aaron Smyth must haveve consulted our Decoding the dress code guide as he was on trend pairing dark velvet jacket with tux pants. The ladies and gents from the accompanying slideshow below are our picks, now you get to vote on your favorite look to be named SociaLifeChicago’s ‘Best Dressed on The Scene.’
