If you missed last Friday’s sold out Night Heist, you’ll want to pay attention. There’s no better way to take in #Summertimechi, while giving back, than attending a fundraising social with like minded young professionals. Historically most Auxiliary/Associate/Junior Board organizations host their fundraisers during the summer time, because truly its the season to make the scene. Here are our picks for must attend summer events for you social young professionals out there. Whether you’re into saving the environment or passionate about art or helping families coping with cancer, when attending these junior board fundraisers,  you’ll not only make the scene, your ticket purchase will go towards these budding philanthropists and the causes close to them. Thinking about going solo? do it live by the “Carpe diem” motto, you never what will come of it.

SUMMER LOVIN

Summer Lovin 2015 Chicago
The Auxiliary board of Northwestern University along with Chicago magazine will host the 15th annual Summer Lovin where the magazine will showcase their 2015 singles pick( a weak list this year compared to some of their past issues). This will be the second year the event will take place at the Chicago History Museum rather than the MCA

Gildapalooza 2015

Gilda’s Club’s Auxiliary Board hosts Gildapalooza. If you’re not familiar with Gilda’s club, the organization named after the late comedienne Gilda Radner, get familiar, their executive staff are like warm blankets in human form, so welcoming an friendly. They offer not just a place where men, women and children whose lives have been touched by cancer, as well as their families and friends, can feel they are part of a welcoming community of support in the form of their red door building in River North, they also partner with several hospitals around the area. Meet a few next generationers passionate about the cause with Lake Michigan backdrop.

SHEDD BLU

shedd blu frog wild 2015
Shedd Blu is the Auxiliary Board of Shedd Aquarium’s major fundraiser of the year but also one of the best summer events. You can see our recap of last year’s HERE. This year’s event is co-chaired by Christina Talarico, Jay Healy and Alexis Geocaris Sutton.
Open bar, aquatic show and after party at Filini Bar and instagram worthy views of the city. See Shedd’s newest exhibit, Amphibians, after dark and go “Frog Wild!” over the dancing, food and fireworks.
