The Woman’s Board of the Chicago Horticultural Society hosted their ninth annual All Aboard! celebration at the Chicago Botanic Garden earlier this month. The theme for this year’s event, co-chaired by Ann Balusek and Glo Rolighed, was “Aurora Borealis” which featured enchanting topiary trees, combinations of holiday plants and garden-scale trains winding past 80 charming miniature replicas of Chicago-area landmarks.
The event raised $250,000 which will support fellowships for the plant biology and conservation graduate program, a collaboration between the Garden and Northwestern University.
