Chicago’s own Hayes MacArthur (son of Shelly Farley MacArthur) and wife Ali Larter will be honored January 11 at the 8th annual Elysium Heaven gala with The “Spirit Of Elysium” Award and Linda Perry will be honored as the 2014 Visionary. The Spirit of Elysium Award is given to artists who have shown incredible initiative, sincerity, and consistency in volunteering with the organization, and Ali Larter and Hayes MacArthur are the first ever couple to receive this award. Ali Larter who was featured on the September 2013 cover of Michigan Avenue Magazine married the Chicago born actor Hayes and they have a son together. Hayes MacArthur’s mom Shelley MacArthur Farley,is a well known face on Chicago’s social and philanthropic scene.
The evening will include a welcome reception by Perrier-Jouët, dinner and followed by performances from The Smokin Knights, Linda Perry, The Art of Elysium children, Evan Rachel Wood and Steven Tyler.
The couple was on the host committee in 2013 and have dedictaed countless hour volunteering with the organization. Past Spirit of Elysium recipients include: David Arquette, James Franco, Kirsten Dunst, Elijah Wood, and Eva Mendes.
The Art of Elysium was founded in 1997 to encourage working actors, artists, fashion designers and musicians to dedicate their tiem through volunteering, to children battling serious medical conditions. The organizations mission is to make art a catalyst for social change, and bring creativity into the lives of tens of thousands of hospitalized children.
