There’s a new food hall joining the mix of food options for Chicago’s loop but this one has a unique twist. Wells St. Market Food Hall located at 209 W Wacker Dr. (corner of Wells and Wacker) features nine fast-casual food stalls most of them relatively independent or chef driven concepts. Purple Pig’s Jimmy Bannos Jr is debuting a new concept featuring Greek fare at Piggie Smalls. Jeff Mauro’s growing food destination Pork and Mindy’s will be part of the hall. If you want more than just a quick bite, there’s Grand Central Bar, helmed by acclaimed bar man Dustin Drankiewicz (formerly Moneygun, Punch House) which will offer guests simple, yet creative takes on classic Parisian cocktails, beers and wine. The bar will also feature a selection of elevated dishes such as Croque Monsieur Sandwich, East and West Coast Oysters for sharing.
The list of the 11 (opening) food vendors that will take up space inside the Loop located 10,500 sq. ft. Wells St. Market Food Hall are:
Pork & Mindy’s
The Chow Brothers
Flowers for Dreams
Grand Central Bar
Wells St. Market is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Firecakes Donuts’ walk-up window is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m to 11 a.m.
