The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle introduced their newborn son to the world Wednesday before announcing his name.
The announcement itself is a departure from previous royal birth announcements. Usually its the mother who holds the baby when we’ve seen Princess Diana and even Kate Middleton do as such when presenting their newborn in front of Lindo wing.
Since Meghan had a private birth, allegedly at the private Portland Hospital, they appeared in front of press at a designated location. When the Sussex’s met media at Windsor Castle, it was Harry who carried the baby throughout and you can see Meghan holding onto his arm as they walked forward. After a few minutes cooing over the baby and sharing their first experiences and taking questions from the press, they retreated back inside, to meet Queen Elizabeth and Duke of Edinburgh Phillip.

When Harry was answering one of the press questions, he made a bit of a slip up which might make one believe Meghan might not have been overdue and perhaps might have had her baby for a week or two and not the May 6 birthdate story fed to the press.
The name of the baby was finally announced in the afternoon as, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
We wish them happiness joy and good health as they adjust to new parenthood.
