The pop up shop that was two years in the making finally landed in Chicago April 25. Luxury fashion rental and styling platform, Armarium, celebrated its first (of many we hope) Chicago pop up at the Waldorf Astoria’s Bernard Lounge on April 26. The event was co-hosted by fashionable Chicago residents Meredith Wood-Prince, Coco Meers and Amelia Eaton.

Guests had a chance to not only browse through a small fraction of the luxury fashion rental’s selections of gowns, jumpsuits and separates, Armarium stylists were also on hand to meet and connect. Stylist Stephanie, who though is based in NYC communicates with clients from all over the country. Whether you are co-chairing an upcoming gala, attending an event, hosting a dinner at home or just looking for that special dress for a night out or in, Stephanie explained the process a bit.
Each person completes a style profile noting if you have any upcoming events, colors, body type/size, and styles you like then a stylist takes it from there. You can chat with them via email, phone or their app and if you happen to be in NYC you can book an appointment at their showroom. The great thing about Armarium is they take into account who rents outfit for upcoming events so lets say you want to attend The Nature Conservancy gala on May 19, and you want to wear a beautiful Rochas or Johanna Ortiz dress/jumpsuit, they will do their best to ensure you will be the only Armi rocking that beautiful gown. They do offer rentals up to size 14 and some of the designers include Christopher Kane, Johanna Ortiz, Missoni, Zimmerman all luxury name brand that would run in the thousands should you pay for them retail.
Armarium was founded by Trisha Gregory and co-founder Alexandra Lind Rose. Ans earlier this year they announced Armarium’s first-ever Fashion Director, one of The Hollywood Reporter’s 25 Power Stylists, celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger.
