Happy National Drink Wine Day! The day was started to celebrate and spread the love of wine so we want you to use it as the perfect opportunity to take your wine drinking to the next level because not everyone can be Whine About It‘s Matt Bellassai, who’s job its is to drink and then talk crap to thousands of viewers.
A recent report from the nonprofit, Wine Market Council, stated that in 2015 millennials between the ages of 21-38 drank more wine (159.6 million cases) than any other generation; that’s about 42% of all the wine consumed in the United States. This is something Arthur Hon, Sepia Chicago’s Beverage Director and certified Sommellier has been seeing too lately, “I did notice that on Valentine’s Day, our younger guests almost all began with cocktails and transitioned to wine.” Whether you’ll be sipping on a glass of Pinot/Cab/Malbec/Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonay or heck just buy the whole bottle because its Friday eve, these places are our picks to enjoy National Drink Wine Day.
