Newly minted IMG Model and Guinness Book of World Record holder as the tallest ballet dancer in the world, Fabrice Calmels is featured in W Magazine. He talks about his recent signing to the modeling and talent agency, his eating habits and more. The article by Katherine Cusumano noted that following his first fashion focused shoot, photographed by Bruce Weber for Versace, the 6’6″ French native but Chicago resident, dancer “with IMG’s blessing, he’s poised for dance and fashion domination.”
Now we know how he gets that rock solid body: “I start each morning right from bed by rolling out my calves and thighs (with a stick roller) and doing a few sets of crunches and pushups. I’m in the dance studio five to seven days a week, seven and a half hours a day, but outside of the studio I spend an hour or so each evening stretching, doing ab exercises and rolling out my muscles on a foam roller.”
He takes care of his body from the inside out with “no (or limited) alcohol and lots of water are absolute essentials.” You can read the article here and check him out during Joffrey Ballet’s new Nutcracker choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, which runs from Dec. 10-Dec. 30 .
