EVENT: Prime Time: F00TW3RK @ MCA

ABOUT:  Celebrate footwork, the quintessential Chicago art form that became a global phenomenon through online sharing platforms, with a late-night museum takeover party. The evening features a special set by Chicago footwork legend RP Boo and the music of SUZI ANALOGUE. Appearances by DJ Spinn of Teklife, Jana Rush, The Era, and I Am the Queen punctuate the evening, creating an incredible outdoor dance party on the museum’s terrace. Dig into the digital world with a host of IRL/URL artist projects—a GIF party media lounge, AR/VR experiences hosted by the Digital Museum of Digital Art (DiMoDA), and a special installation by Rebirth Garments. Throughout the evening, treat yourself to summer cocktails and savory bites, be among the first to visit the museum’s new internet-themed exhibition, and have a custom T-shirt screen printed while you wait by Spudnik Press. EVENT: 6th annual Friends of the Chicago River Summer Cruise

ABOUT:  Thirty nine years ago when Friends of the Chicago River was formed, many could not imagine the miraculous transformation that would occur to our Chicago River. This year we celebrate those achievements that could not be imagined, and look forward
to what is yet to come. The cruise will travel north up the Chicago River to Belmont Avenue.

EVENT: Adult Swim On The Green

ABOUT:  Adult Swim On The Green Tour, the immersive fan-experience jam-packed with games, merch, and exclusive screenings of never-before-seen Adult Swim show episodes, never before seen pilots, specials and a load of other Williams Street favorites. Adult Swim On The Green will be followed by a free promotional screening of “Things You May Have Never Seen” and pilots. ABOUT:  The Chicago Soul Music Festival, is an intergenerational musical conversation of Chicago soul music presented in honor of Black Music Appreciation Month. Chi-Soul Fest presents a free lineup of Chicago soul music reflecting its past, present and future.

EVENT: Jazzin’ at the Shedd

ABOUT:  This week’s theme is LGBTQ Pride. The band lineup includes: Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles, The Strayhorns, Lakeside Pride Jazz Organ Trio, Wilde Cabaret and Lady Day Cabaret.
Take a sip of summer at Jazzin’ at the Shedd. Every Wednesday evening, move to the rhythms of Chicago’s top jazz musicians—and be moved by the pulsing rhythms of spotted jellies, the shimmering slow dance of false herrings and more in Shedd’s new special exhibit, Underwater Beauty.
