Dems and several GOPers are asking for records of said tapes, if they do exist, to be turned over. • Over 200 workers called off sick from Cook County jail on Sunday prompting a lockdown due to low staff. This is the second year in a row for this Mother’s day absence of workers. 86 employees called in sick, while another 120 took the day off under the Family Medical Leave Act. Bump and run, where a car is intentionally hit from behind and then an accomplice steals the car, is on the rise in Chicago.

• The daughter of a Chicago police officer, 18-year-old Tatyanna Lewis, has died after being repeatedly rammed into a tree in the Morgan Park neighborhood of Chicago. The incident might have stemmed from an argument over a man. The driver of the jeep, 24-year-old Chynna Stapleton, has been arrested and now charged with murder.

• Over The Weekend: A global ransomware attack hit several hospitals, phone companies and more in nearly 100 countries. The attacks are being blamed on a piece of malware called WCry, WannaCry, alleged to have been stolen from the National Security Agency…A security guard at a River North condo building was brutally attacked by a stranger who threw a water bottle and then punched her and now authorities are searching for the guy; the tape of the incident is hard to watch.(side note can all security footage be this clear?)…Derek Jeter’s NY Yankee’s No. 2 jersey was officially retired Sunday before the team’s game against Houston…Will Ferrell’s USC commencement speech certainly left the graduating students at his alma mater with a memorable ending when he belted out his rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” Kevin Hart and his wife Eniko announced on mother’s day they are expecting…Entourage creator Doug Ellin is now engaged to NY based sports anchor Andy Adler.


• Could the reason why Epic record label executive L.A Reid suddently departed Sony music, be due to sexual harassment? According to a report in NY Post, a female assistant at Epic Records is accusing Reid of sexual harassment and sent a letter via her attorney to Sony records. Variety is reporting that there might be multiple claims made against Reid.

• Is Katy Perry going to be judge on the new American Idol? Rumors are swirling that a deal is almost final though she just announced tour that will coincide with the release of her new album Witness.


• Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2018 took place at the Miho Museum in Kyoto Japan on Sunday with a collection that paid tribute to Japan’s rich traditions and designer Kansaï Yamamoto. Michelle Williams, Jennifer Connelly, Sophie Turner were some of the celebs that joined creative director Nicolas Ghesquière. Australia Fashion Week is now underway and lastly, Macy’s announced they are tapping designer Anna Sui for its Macy’s capsule collection series.
