Shonda Rhimes To Bring Luvvie Ajayi’s Book To TV

This is so dope on so many levels. Chicago native, Nigerian and self described side eye sorceress, Luvvie Ajayi whose first book, I’m Judging You: The Do Better Manual,  debuted on the NY Times Best Seller list last fall is now adding another accolade to an already stacked resume. Deadline reports that Betsy Beers and Oak Park native Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland have acquired the rights to I’m Judging You: The Do Better Manual to develop as a cable comedy series.

Luvvie has been in the writing game for a minute and this is a culmination of her hard work and dedication to her craft. I’m Judging You is a humorous manual that instructs people on how to do better. Ajayi writes on her blog and first gained the attention of Rhimes with her online Scandal recaps. You can get a copy of the book here.
