The Woman’s Board of Rush University Medical Center, one of the oldest woman’s boards in Chicago, celebrated a milestone accomplishment of their annual fashion show by hosting the event at bigger location October 13. With about 800 guests in attendance, the fashion show, held at The United Club at Soldier Field, grossed over $800,000 which will help support the medical center’s Road Home Program: The Center for Veterans and Their Families at Rush.
The 90th Annual fashion was co-chaired by Mindy Kelly, Susan Merlin, and Anne Tucker, featured 120 models of veterans, men, women and children who were friends and supporters of the Woman’s board, strutting down the 160 feet runway in apparel from designers and retailers such as: CH Carolina Herrera, space519, Lake Forest Shop, Ralph Lauren, Oscar De La Renta bridal, Jil Sander, Chalk Lela Rose, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers and Adam Lippes who was also in attendance and took a bow with 2 models.

Dr. Larry Goodman, Rush Medical Center’s CEO welcomed guests before Chicago Blackhawks favorite Jim Cornelison belted out the national anthem with assistance from the Marine Color Guard from the 2/24 Marine unit in North Chicago. Following the fashion show, where models were prepped by Salon Buzz and MAC Cosmetics, guests stayed for some post event cocktails before departing the United Club. Through a three-year challenge grant, every dollar raised for The Road Home Program will be matched with two additional dollars by the Wounded Warrior Project.
