First Lady Michelle Obama Covers Vogue’s December Issue

As we countdown the months and days until the Obamas leave the White House, Vogue magazine honored First Lady Michelle Obama with her final Vogue cover (as first lady) for their December issue, photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

First Lady Michelle Obama has never been a more inspiring figure—America’s conscience, role model, and mother in chief.

With this being her third Vogue cover, the “Candid Conversation With America’s Champion and Mother in Chief” by Jonathan Van Meter talks to the outgoing first lady and Chicago native on her time at the White House, what the next chapter holds, putting health and wellness first as well as kind words from President Obama and close associated including Valerie Jarrett. You can read the interview here.

People see themselves in her,” says President Obama. “A dedicated mom, a good friend, and someone who’s not afraid to poke a little fun at herself from time to time.”
