Celebrity Sightings & Musings

Intel about celebs and chicago-lebrity sightings out and about in our city plus musings. Here’s who was spotted and what they did in Chicago.

Fashion designer, Peter Dundas who recently parted ways as Creative Director of Roberto Cavalli, the man behind Beyoncé’s yellow Lemonade dress and custom yellow suit she wore to close out Formation Tour, Ciara’s wedding dress and Kim Kardashian’s 2015 & 2016 Met Gala gown amongst his many accomplishments, was spotted at the Hilton Chicago supporting the Bousis family at the Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation (HCRF) inaugural gala “The Wings to Cure,” benefitting Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. The $500/person event held Saturday 11/5 was chaired by Eleni Bousis, HCRF’s founding Board chair. Why was Dundas specifically at this event or even in Chicago? He is linked to model/actor Evangelo Bousis, son of Eleni and Jimmy Bousis, co-founder of Cermak Fresh Market. Her other son, Raise.com founder and Drake BFF George Bousis (no longer engaged) was also in attendance.

cast-of-shameless-siena-tavernThe cast of Shameless literally LOVE the DineAmic group especially Fabio Viviani’s dishes at Siena Tavern. The cast including Emmy Rossum, Jeremy Allen White, Steve Howey, Cameron Monaghan, Emma Kenney, Isadora Goreshter were spotted there, again, for a finale night cast dinner recently. Actress Emma Kenney posted the photo on her instagram page.

Simone Biles Ebony Power 100
Making the cover of Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 is just one of the many things USA Olympic multi gold medal winning gymnast Simone Biles has been able to achieve this year. The powerhouse was spotted out and about in Chicago last month including checking out hockey practice with the Blackhawks plus photo op with Patrick Kane aka the Kaner, shooting hoops with Dwyane Wade but a Chicago experience isn’t complete without Portillo’s. She stopped by the Portillo’s on Clark and Ontario for a Chicago hot dog experience but she did not go sans ketchup, womp womp.

DineAmic isn’t the only restaurant that sees its fair share of celebrities coming through Chicago. Chicago Cut steakhouse over the past few weeks fed the likes of Dwyane Wade, Kris Bryant, Conor Dwyer Jr, Anthony Rizzo, Patrick Kane to name a few.

Cheryl Scott, the beloved ABC 7 meteorologist has moved on from her Happy Camper dude to someone with a bit more star power. Word on the internetz street is that she’s dating DJ and multihyphenate Dante Deiana  fka Dante The Don, who is business partners with Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski. Wonder how Robert Feder will take this news?*

Speaking of Cubs celebrations, Bill Murray and Eddie Vedder were spotted partying at Division Street’s The Lodge Tavern’s iconic bullpen.
