Ashley Graham has been heating up the runway, magazine covers and basically everywhere. The Body Positive advocate, has appeared on the runway, graced magazine covers and featured in campaigns for brands including: Lane Bryant, H&M, Lindex, Forever21, NYDJ to name a few. The Nebraska native was discovered in 2000, telling us her career has been building up and not an overnight success as some might view it. A 2015 ad by swimsuitsforall, plus-size retailer for women’s swimsuits, led to her 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover making her the first plus-size model to appear on the magazine’s cover. Having modeled for lingerie company Addition Elle, for several years she designed her first lingerie line for the company in 2013 and walking their runway shows. In December she will appear alongside Chicago native Law Roach in a reboot of America’s Next Top Model.
Graham, who was the October 2016 cover model for SELF magazine, was in town recently to meet fans and launch her 11th collection for Addition Elle line and we got a chance to chat with her. She talks about what goes on backstage before hitting the runway, body positivity and why she wanted to partner with Addition Elle for this lingerie line. The 11-piece lingerie collection has bra sizing ranges from 36DD – DDD, 38/40/42 C-DDD, 44 C – DD, 36 – 42 G+H; panties from X – 3X, babydoll, garter slip, and bodysuit range from X-4X; Watch the video below.
