On Thursday, September 8, 2016, Maria Pinto celebrated the opening of her exhibition at the City Gallery in the Historic Water Tower on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. In collaboration with DCASE, “Maria Pinto 25 Years” celebrates Maria Pinto’s first 25 years of working at the intersection of art and fashion in Chicago. The exhibition features a rotating display of garments from Pinto’s archive, along with fashion photography from many Chicago-based collaborators. At the centerpiece of the exhibition is a series of photos shot by Sandro Miller, featuring a new capsule collection Pinto designed for her ready-to-wear label, M2057 by Maria Pinto.
Over 80 guests enjoyed an exclusive viewing of the exhibition, which opens to the public on Saturday, September 10. The Waldorf Astoria Chicago hosted a private VIP cocktail reception at Bernard’s for guests, who were treated to drinks and light bites as models roamed the venue wearing Maria Pinto archive collection. Maria Pinto hosted fans of her brand, including Michael Anderson, Naomi Beckwith, Sophie Bross, Tarrah Cooper, Kathleen Henson, Yvonne Kim, Sandro Miller,Theresa Mintle, Noren Ungaretti.
