Imagine if Lebron James didn’t have access to the proper type of basketball shoes when his love for the game of basketball began? 2016 olympic bound runner Brenda Martinez‘s parents couldn’t afford to buy her new pair of running shoes when she was younger; think about the kind of extracurricular sport experience a kid would have if they wanted to play a game they loved but no equipment to do it with? This is the reality for some kids who have aspirations of one day excelling in athletics or just having fun but do not have the right equipment.
Many of us know how big an impact athletics played in our lives growing up whether it was that you wanted to be the next John McEnroe, Serena Williams, Kobe Bryant or Carl Lewis or just loved sports because it helped you meet new friends.
